About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations across our group of companies. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, maintain compliance with UAE accounting standards, and support management with financial insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Handle accounts payable/receivable, supplier payments, and expense claims.
Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and inter-company accounts.
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring proper documentation and audit trails.
Maintain and update the general ledger and supporting schedules.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with FTA regulations.
Support in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit queries.
Assist with Zoho Books / Odoo ERP accounting modules, ensuring accurate system data.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial data across multiple entities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting (preferably in UAE).
Strong understanding of UAE VAT, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Zoho Books, Odoo, or other ERP systems.
Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing multi-company accounts.
Knowledge of payroll processing and WPS.
Familiarity with project-based accounting and invoicing.
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data for management decisions.
